Class Details and Dress Code

At Carolina Cotillion, maintaining a polished appearance is an important part of reinforcing confidence, respect, and proper social behavior. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring all students arrive dressed appropriately for each class.

Dress Code

Young Ladies

“Sunday Best” or Party dress 

White gloves (provided on the first day of class)

Dress shoes

Not permitted: flip-flops, athletic shoes, or tennis shoes

Young Gentlemen

Coat with tie or bow tie

Dress shirt and slacks

Dress shoes

Not permitted: tennis shoes or athletic footwear

Students who do not adhere to the dress code may be dismissed from class for the evening.

Final Class Details

1st-4th Grade – Pre-Cotillion Making Manners Fun 

Pre-cotillion classes will continue learning and practicing good manners with age-appropriate activities and lessons while having fun. 

Parents do not attend this session.

5th Grade – Parent Observation & Dance Night Junior Cotillion Ball 

On the final class night, parents of 5th grade students are cordially invited to attend at the regularly scheduled time to observe instruction and share in select dances with their children. Children will be formally introduced and then allow their new skills to shine.

This event is a meaningful celebration of the skills students have learned throughout the program of their official introductory Junior Cotillion year

6th, 7th & 8th Grade – Special Instructional Meal 

Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade will participate in an instructional meal for their final class at the regular time.
Parents do not attend this session.

Registration & Payment

All payments must be completed online.

No registrations will be accepted at the door.

Classes tend to fill quickly; your child’s placement is secured once payment is received through our secure online registration portal.

Registration closes when class is full.

Emails will be sent out to participants prior to class beginning.  

If a class reaches capacity, registration will close automatically, and you may email us to be added to the waiting list. We work diligently to maintain an appropriate balance of ladies and gentlemen in each class.
